Founded in 1921 as Bay Avenue Garage on the Balboa Peninsula, Theodore Robins Sr. secured the official Ford Motor Company franchise on February 7, 1923. Just one week later, on February 14, 1923, Theodore Robins Ford sold its first Ford vehicle for $637.10 — beginning a century-long partnership with Ford that continues today.

• Theodore Robins Sr. established the dealership on principles of integrity, respect, and customer-first service. 

• Theodore “Bob” Robins Jr. expanded operations and strengthened the dealership’s reputation for service excellence after 1976. 

• In 2016, leadership transitioned to Jim Robins and Dave Robins.
